Goods Issue of restricted batches

Hi,

I have a scenario where stock are managed in SAP at Inventory management level and physically stocks are held by the 3PL. when ever the 3PL issues stock against a delivery he sends a message to SAP which posts goods issue against the delivery document. In case by mistakes if the 3PL issue a restricted batch the message send from his system successfully posts a goods issue document in SAP i.e. 601 movement is done with the restricted batch in SAP. Typically i would expect the idoc to fail and good issue not posted in the above case. Could some one tell me what setting needs to be done to prevent the good issue of restricted batch in SAP.

it is depending on your message customizing, if you allow withdrawel from restrcited batches with a warning or restrict it with an error message.

Hi,

Generally GI of restricted stock is not possible. However you can use batch search strtegy for searching unrestricted stock and not restricted stock. Define characteristics according to your requirement. Thanking you.
