Position change Issue!!!

Dear Experts,

Client Changed the Designation of 200 Employees which is not a Promotion just Position Change Now we have created 200 New Positions & I need to assign these 200 Employees for their respective new Positions please advice is any BDC is Possible?

hi Khaiser,

hope you are doing good.

We had a relative requirement last month, we used PO13 - Maintain Position by changing the text description and it updated HRP1000 successfully, try dis Tcode also for ur delta load.

Thanks for your Reply Im doing good Sir Thanks, tried through PO13 / PP01 too Description is getting changed Successfully but dates are not changed If Im changing the Description today system still reflects Employees Old date with our new Description in Master. we not able to hold the History of its previous position please advice.

Hi

1. If Position Numbers are same(Only change in Text)

Create an LSMW for PP02 - Change Object description with a new date and Text

2. If Position Numbers are New

Create an LSMW for an Action(Organization Change/other depending on ur requirement) with IT0000 and IT0001.

Once done Run RHINTE Reports.

Thanks for the Responses Sir, tried with your advice Only Position text is changed dates are not getting changed

please advice what will be the issue!!! Even though its not a Promotion required date of their position change to hold the history. Master shows only old date with the new description change please advice.

When recording the new action ensure that the From date is included as an update field. If doing it through PA30 as recommended, enter the From and To dates into the selection fields on the PA30 screen prior to creating the new IT0000 record.

Hello I suggest you to use LSMW with PA40 as it will be like personnel action if you will change it0000 and it0001.

If you will not report it as action then you can only update it0001 via LSMW.

I don't think you can access position directly in IT0001 (at least not in our setup). So best run an action. But you can set up the action so it doesn't record IT000 if you want to.

My experience is that it's much easier to run actions from PA30 when using LSMW. It is in reality the same as running from PA40, just easier to record and make work.

You can do this running an action via LSWM.

Just make sure you run RHINTE00 afterwards for these people.

Because for batch input, integration is swithed off.

BTW the best way of running actions via LSMW is to start in PA30.

Choose IT0000 and the action as subtype and create.
