Archving of Shopping Cart/PR/PO attachments to IXOS server

We are having the following requirements:

We are creating Shopping Cart in SRM with attachments and all these (same attachments) are replicating to ECC 6.0 whenever system generates PR or PO automatically. These attachments are copying to R/3 with URL, i.e. physically attachments are not saving R/3 DMS server, but saving in SRM DB only. It is to avoid duplicate saving in both Data bases.

If user making any changes in the attachments or adding attachments in R/3, these new ones are at present saving in R/3 (DMS) data base. Now our client requirement is that all the attachments, whether attached in SRM or R/3, must be saved in IXOS database only.

To meet this requirement, what are the settings we have to do both in SRM and R/3 systems? Please reply on this.

Thanks & Regards,

Veerappa

    Hi Chinna,

You can achieve this by below steps:

    1. Create content repository referring to IXOS server (transaction OAC0).

    2. Link relevant content categories (of SRM and SAP DMS) (transaction OACT) to the created content repository.

    • Hi Chinna,

Check which content category you are using to upload the document in SAP DMS. And then get the corresponding repository of that content category from transaction oact. The content repository will refer to the place where documents are stored.

Altenatively you can use the program dms_kpro_read to get the details.

      Regards

      Amit
