Different printing output out of different printers

Hi All,

We tried to print a large org chart by using the "Print" function in "Actions" menu, the setting in Nakisa is " Automatic; paper size:Ledger", the setting in Printer is " Paper size: Ledger; Landscape". As a result, one printer has the chart exactly fit the size of the paper while another has a smaller and incomplete chart in the lower middle of the paper. Could you please let me know why it happens? and how to set up the printer or Print in Nakisa to get the same anticipated result in all of our printers?

Thanks,

Hongling

HI Hongling,

Please refer to the Forum [Rules of Engagement|; where it specifies that you must specify what application or what version you are using. This is not the first time you have posted without specifying which application and version you are using. Many consultants work on different solutions and with multiple versions so every thread must specify this information if you want help. Now I can take my moderator hat off

I guess you are using version 3.0 or 3.0 SP1/SP2. I would always set the orientation to either Landscape or Portrait, not automatic. From SP1 the solutions should automatically set the printer to print in the appropriate paper orientation. However, it is advisable to match the paper orientation of the print wizard with that of the browser.

Best regards,

Hi Luke,

Sorry for not telling the Version of Nakisa we're using.

We're using Nakisa OrgChart V3.0 SP1.

We tested the printing function base on your suggestion, but it didn't work. Depends on different printer, the same setting ( for bothNakisa and printers) got different output.

Hongling

Hi Hongling,

I would suggest that you open an OSS message for this, because if you get different behaviours on different printers then there might need to be some alignment in the print engine. It really should work on all printers and without the need to change printer settings.

Best regards,

Luke
