UWL iView exception error

Hi, I am getting below error while opening UWL iView...

Portal runtime error

An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.

See log file for details about this exception

As per your Description and logs, I see 2 causes for your issue.

The first one is is regarding a know issue, that the exception bellow

suggest: retrieving JCO.Function object while reading R3 system

information.:com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104)

RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: User UWL_SERVICE has no RFC authorization for

function group RFC1.#

*There is a know issue, that can be the root cause of this exception

that have been solved on the last patch of the component UWLJWF. note

1322333.

Othe issue that I can supose as per your logs is A a missing

permission to the Everyone group for the iview whose PCD is the

following:

pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/uwl/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.

uwlSapWebDynproLaunch

Its necessary to check the permissons of this iview, to make sure the

groups everyone has at least read permission. After setting this

permission, the issue should be resolved.

Hi,

Thaks for quick reply.

Had already read permissions to Everyone group on "Portal content->Portal Uses" folder with End User check box checked.

Is there anything missed...i am working on CE 7.2 to execute BPM tasks.

Please do advice, this is very crusial issue for me..

Hi Ian,

Can you also check the parameter on the UWL Iview Path to the UWL Iview according to the documentation below:

I believe that even though you are still using 7.20 this parameter is still on your system. Could you please let us know what the parameter is in your system and myself or my colleague Fabio will check this on your system?

Thanks Beth.

Problem with UWL iView path now I corrected it and could see preview of uwl. I have identified few issue on this context -

One is, when I see the preview of sap given standard uwl page (content provided by sap -> end user content -> ....Universal worklist) I could see default view with 5 tabs, where as if I assign eu_role or eu_core_role to user then browse Home -> work -> Universal Worklist then I could see single tab named "Open Items" alone.

We are using sap standard configurations and no customization had done, and more over working on BPM so I have checked uwl.standard.xml & uwl.bpem.xml configuration files with Q system where UWL UI and functinality is working fine.

Here my question is, Is the problem with eu_role & eu_core_role..or how come in run time UI is changing.

Second one is, If I tried to check system connection by click on Display Connection Status at UWL page getting error - Page not found or not available I am not sure where to check this.

I assigned Process viewer as related link to uwl page, If I open that link getting error as No autorization and the same error even to see preview at iView level as well. usr having BPEM End user role.

Now I have created a cusome role with sap standard UWL page. I have assigned role to user and could see standard UWL now. But still I coulln't test system connection.

Hi,

can you solve the problem?

I have a similar problem only with one user, when the user access the UWL get

the following error:

Runtime error in the portal

Exception in processing request, send the ID of exception to your portal ADMINISTRATION

The other users does not have problems accessing the mailbox.

The user is assigned the role of the mailbox correctly.

I removed all personalizations with the affected user and the error continues to occur

Please, can you give me any idea to solve the problem?
