Necessary for TREX in EBP and CCM

Hi all,

Understand that TREX is for indexing, searching and classification.

Would like to check what will be the impact if we did not install TREX for Catalog Content Management 2.0 and Enterprise Buyer Portal for SRM 5.0.

1. Can I still able to search to for the catalog items?

2. Can I still load and publish my catalog items?

3. Can I still create shopping cart using catalog items by manual input if it cannot be searched?
