Hi ,
We have a new requirement where we need to send the inventory report to the customer daily. Can any one please guide me how to do this.
I am planning on using INVRPT01 or PROACT01 - which one is most appropriate?
Please advise
Thank you
Sangeetha
Hi,
Use IDoc INVRPT01 for inventory reporting by setting up the partner profile and message type in OUTBOUND parameters etc..

Hi Sangeetha,
this is actually a MM/IM question-->however, is it vendor managed inventory?
if yes, check this :
Or, the message type for INVRPT01 is INVRPT.
so setup the partner profile in WE20 with the above msg type in outbound parameters, activate change pointers for this message type--change pointers is the trigger pointer for the IDoc.
I hope this helps.

Raghu.
Raghu,
I understand the part We20 setup and everything, but I question, what will cause the Idoc to create? Which transaction? how to I schedule it to create the idoc once a day?
This is not vendor based inventory. We need to send the stock information to our customer based on what is available per item for this customer = Allocated - Open sales orders.
Can you help
Thanks
Sangeetha
Hi Sangeetha,
I think I mentioned about 'change pointers'.
Change pointers would pick up whenever there is any change in the Inventory automatically.. if you set the partner profile to immediate mode, then the IDocs will be sent immediately..else you can put it in collect mode and send them once in a day by scheduling a job for program RESOUT with the required parameters.
For more information on change pointers, pls search the ABAP forum..you'll find loads of information.
You can activate the change pointer for a message type in tcode BD50.
Regards,
Raghu.
