Encrypted field

We have been using Crystal reports to pull information from our loan accounting software and place this info in a form that we send to our accounting department. The loan accounting software (Nortridge) just encrypted one of the fields. I have an encryption code but am not clear if I can enter this in Crystal so that data pulls correctly. Thanks BJS

Hello,

CR does NOT decrypt any data. It's the Database Client that would do that. If the Client doesn't then only option would be to create a UFL to do the decryption for you, if that's possible.

Thanks Don, the client does not decrypt the data at this point it seems my only option is a UFL, however, I have not been able to locate an appropriate function. Thanks for your time. BJS

Hello,

You have to write your own UFL to handle the decryption, there is nothing built into CR that can do this for you.
