We recently upgraded to Office 2007.
Prior to the upgrade, we used a Bex query as source data in an Excel file. Other tabs in the same file would link to the data source tab. Each month we would right click on the BI query and refresh the data and it would bring up a listing of variable values.
Now we are in Excel 2007. When we try to refresh the query now, we get the following messge:The workbook does not contain any input ready variables".
BI and the query are working because if I go directly to BI, I can get the query to refresh. If I go through the workbook (which is saved on the local drives and not in BI) it does not.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
i'm not sure you still have the problem but i recently got the same error message.
in my case it was a authorization issue on the object S_RS_MPRO.
the users didn't had the right access on the Multiprovider causing the report error.

Hi,
As you mentioned that you recently upgraded to Office 2007.
Please unistall and then again install the BEX FRONTEND to the latest available PATCH.
This should solve your issue.
If still the issue persists, i would suggest to Regenerate the Query on which workbook is created using the
tcode RSRT.
Please then test the issue again.

Amit

How do I get to note 1437460?

Hi,
You can download the note from SMP(service market place).
Normally it is related with the missing authorization object S_BDS_D and S_BDS_DS, as it is informed in
note 918598. So first check whether the reporting user has these
authorizations.
If this doesn't fix the issue, apply the manual corrections listed under
the solution part of the note 1044219. Make TEXT_VERSION value to 001 in
RS_FRONTEND_INIT.
Thanks,
Venkat
Hello,
Please apply Note 1437460 for this.
Failing this I would try a front end reinstall.

Michael
