Table/ Function Module to View FI Document through COPA Document

Hi,

We need to find FI document from COPA Document. Is there any function module or any table through which we can see this ?

Eg. Lets say COPA document generated is 110000011, but we need to find the corresponding FI document that got generated.

Usually the "Reference" field populated in COPA contains the origin document.. Execute KE24 and chekc it once

Sorry, but I stand corrected. I need a table or a functional module though which I can Get "COPA Document" from FI doc and not FI doc from COPA.

Hi,

check BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_RECORD this delivers for a given accounting document the other CO-documents depending on REC_KEY, needless to say that the CO document must exist.

If REC_KEY = COPA its the CO-PA doc. number, COPCA is the profit-center doc. number, COBK is the CO doc. number,...

Hi,

Open COPA document and click on integration tab, it will take you to the original of the document from there you can check the FI document

Hi Dhruva ,

FI documents may or may-not have a COPA documents assigned to it , hence its verry difficult to trace from FI to COPA for all COPA documents ... the reverse approach is whats done ..

Can you please elaborate your business requirement , and why you need to map FI-COPA.. so that we can think of workaround..

Hi Sarada,

We need it for Business Reporting Purpose in BI. Actually we need to find the Distribution Channel and this no where gets reflected in the FI document. This is only possible if we know the corrseponding COPA document pertaining to that FI document.

Hi Druva ,

As Ajay already suggested , reference document number in COPA is always the FI document..

Hence in BW , first take all the COPA Values from CE table , then pick the FI documents .. and report..

Distribution Channel is available in COPA documents , and this is how reporting in BW is done in all projects ..

I am not a expert in BW , but my experience says all the BW reports are from COPA documents and then traced to other documents ( If Necessary )
