Plant wise Budget/committment drill down report

Hi All,

I am using report S_ALR_87013558 the standard SAP report for budget/committment/actuals. I have two selection criterias 1. All Projects with status REL and 2. All projects having a particular plant in organisational elements.

For this I am choosing Status selection profile for Project definition and in Dynamic selection selecting the Plant in Organisational Elem (Proj). Strangely the list output is all projects irrespective of the plant and the status I have selected.

Next when I go and define all my criterias in WBS level. i.e. Status Selection profile for WBS as REL and Dyanamic Selection for Organisational elements WBS the report is showing correctly.

Hi,

I guess the system is behaving correctly since there wont be any commitments or budget at the Project definition level. Hence when you specify the status selection profile and the dynamic selection at the WBS level the report is displaying the correct data.

You can use the same status selection profile and dynamic selection in some other standard report and check the behaviour.

Thanks for your valuable inputs. Yes it exactly behaves so in all other SAP standard reports where budget/committments are involved.

But then can you say why these option for status selection profile is provided as a selection option. Can you tell any PS report where this Status selection profile at Project Definition level is needed?

Hi,

Why don't you try some other reports where Budget or commitments are not involved? Maybe you could find some differentiating characteristics.

The problem was with the data base profile. After selecting project definition it works.

may be these dynamic parameters are not enough to filter the data as the budget and commitment will be always on the WBSE level (not at Project Definition level).
