Dear Experts

Genifix is the solution developed by Technidata which is being used as an add-on to existing SAP GLM Module.

Can any one please convey me the link or website where I can find more information about Genifix

what are the advantages of Genifix over the SAP GLM Module?

Thanks

Regards

Amol

Hello Amol

a.) I do not know if Genifix ist still delevoped further or available after the acquisition of TechnIData by SAP; i found now "reference" any more on SAP pages regarding Genifix

b.) Genifix is to my knowledge an "add -on" to SAP EH&S. Therefore to my knowledge it is a "standalone" soluition to print lables which have been generated in EH&S. To my knowledge there are mechanisms available to distribute the repots (new report, change eports etc.) (labels) to Genifix (which is to my knowlegde a separate server). This server can be usead as "stand alone" solution to print lables.

Therefore with Genifix you can not "generate" lables like in EH&S but only "print" them (According to my knowledge)

With best regards

Hello Amol and Christoph,

Genifix is not available from SAP as a product.

However it is available as a customer solution called "Framework for automatic and off-line printing" from SAP consulting.

With Genifix you can automatically print labels trigger by SAP (it is not a standalone solution as it receives SAP data like batch numbers etc.)

With GLM you have to use the manual print dialog.

Furthermore it can print labels even if the SAP is down:

> Therefore with Genifix you can not "generate" labels like in EH&S but only "print" them (According to my knowledge)

This is not correct:

Genifix generates the labels on the Genifix server.

This, for example, allows the user to enter data manually if the SAP System is down.

Hope this helps

Hello Mark

to my knowledge you can not use Genifix to create the "raw report" as you are doing that in EHS but only the "final report". To do so you need e.g. batch number etc.

To my knowledge the raw reports are distributed to Genifix. Than if SAp system would'no be availabe one can still print the label.

I am not sure about if there is a interface between SAP system and Genifix which "triggers" the data to expand the parameter symbols. May be such an interface exist, May be you can give me a feedback regarding this too.

Could you please provide feedback if my understanding of the functionality of Genifx is correct? Thanks in advance

C.B.
