Full day absence + attendance after planned working hours in DWS

Hi experts

I have a scenario in which an employee applies for full day absence (planned working hours in DWS is from 0800 to 1730) and have an attendance record on the same day from 1900 to 2000. But this record is triggering the collison checks as the system reckons them as overlapping records (we have set to prompt error msg in V_554Y_B) but why should this be happening in the first place?

Try modifying the HRSIF feature. This feature will eliminate the need to record start and end time for the attendance/absence. With this, you should be able to records the attendance/absence records.

When an absence record encompasses the planned working time it is effectively interpretted by SAP as running from midnight to midnight, which is why the collision occurs.

Where the attendance is in the morning you can work around the issue by using the Previous Day indicator on the IT2002 record, as this will then link it to the day before (assuming that is not also a full day absence), but in the situation you describe I am not aware of a standard 'fix'; one manual workaround is to reduce the absence record by 1 minute so that it is no longer a full day, and so will save the specific start and end times. This would then allow you to enter the attendance.

Hi,

This is because your absence record carry and all day field check box. I will request you to check the Infotype 2001 record for the absence type.

Check if the full day absence is checked. If yes, the collision will happen.
