Regarding Redirected restore.

Hi Experts,

I have a source system which is production system with sid SMP & i have a sandbox system with sid SBX . I want to copy database from Source system to sandbox system . I took a complete Offline backup off sid SMP source system.

I know it can be done through redirected restore. but am so confused how to do it.

can anyone hlp me with how to do redirected restore. what cmds to be executed in source system & how the sid of source backup needs to be changed in source backup & hoe to do restore in target system . Kindly help me in this regards....

Hi you have to do system copy procedure.. use sapinst to have the guided process...

in the midst one of the selection is to have system build from backup /database copy method.. then you can start to do restore of your system
