XML and EBCDIC

Hi All

I deloped few month ago a BSP application which transform a query (SQ01) to XML available on WAS. I was happy, ... I'm not.

I have a WAS 6.10 (evlaution) on a Windows 2003 server. And a R/3 on a AS/400 non unicode non asci but EBCDIC ...

LDATA received by my RSAQ function (I call a query) looks nice. When I transform this stream into a XML I have sometime a problem regarding specifics characters. So I have convert XML protected characters like ' " < > & by the good code & etc ... But I have sometime an error, on description texts

Is EBCDIC could explain what's append ?

Why not append the few lines of code that does transformation so that we can see what you are doing. Are you doing this on 610, 620 or 640. Going up higher gives us maybe flexibility to use newer bits and pieces of solution that is available. For example, using XSLT to convert directly an ABAP table into XML.
