Dear All
We have a requirement as follows ,
1) The Factory works in single general Shift of 08 hours
2) Some times it works in 03 Shifts of 08 Hours each
As the Factory works on Project base manufacturing so the load is not fixed ,
Now client wants that they have an option to manually select the shift sequences , depending upon the loads by the plant Head , OR an automatic option where in normal load one shift will be used and if in case of overload scheduling will be extended to 03 shift sequences .
Thanks

Dear Cybrat,
1.This activity of changing the shift is to be done manually and this cannot be activated automatically.
2.Making the necessary changes in the work center>capacity header->intervals and shifts can be done using either
defining 2 different sequences, one containing only one shift and the second shift sequence containing 3 shifts.
3.Even without defining shift sequences the changes can be made in the work center as i have mentioned in my second point
by mentioning the valid from and valid to date.
Check and revert back.

But could u please elaborate your point , I have created two different shift sequences but I cannot fix the validity end dates , as I said it is totally Project based manufacturing thus It can be decided only a week prior, to use general shift or 03 shift sequence .
Since the number of work centers are around 50 , Is there any way (mass transaction )we can manually change the shift sequence in the WC .
If we change the sequence we need to again schedule the planned orders dates so that it can use 03 shift sequences which in-turn effects the whole planning cycle & material delivery schedules . Is there any suggestion to get a work around on this problem
Thanks
