How good is IdM 7.2

Hey guys,

I'm looking for your opinion.

At this moment we are running all our SAP systems through IdM, so we did the much discussed CUA to IdM switch. Next phase of our project would mean including AD and HCM into the IdM scope. This should go live at around the end of Januari.

Question I have toward everyone who has experience with 7.2 and 7.1 is: would we be better of first upgrading to 7.2 and than going on with phase 2 or leaving the upgrade for afterwards? Also please let me know the motivation for your answer.

Thanks in advance

    Jonathan,

There's no correct answer for this. I think you need to consider the pros and cons as they pertain to your organization.

I'd take a look at the release notes for each system and see what the benefits are (what's fixied in the latest 7.1 SP and 7.2) to see if any of your major issues are helped \here. I'd also take a look through SDN for 7.2 issues with it being a new release.

The only other factor that I can think of at the moment is that 7.2 is not GA yet. It's supposed to be out next month, but that is not written in stone. If you start making schedules based on this release you could have issues.

    Matt
