2)

there are many files are creating under the tmp directory; one of file contents paste down

3 EPU324 See log for request "SAPKB70012" (timestamp "06:00:57", system "QAT")

Once i refer to SAPKB70012 file which having the contents are likes that there are many log look like that already activated and successfully deleted.

i want to increase the set of parameter Note 1387739 - Out of memory in ACT_UPG phase during EHP installation

its look like risky to stop the shadow system.

Stopping eHPI system is not possible after set the breakpoing.

Please advise!

    Hi,

Is the BG job still running in shadow system?

Check if there are any dumps in shadow system.

    Regards,

    Nirmal.K

      Hello Nirmal

      Thanks for the reply!

i told you that log files were updated on 21st Sep but in the tmp direcotry they are udpating regularly and i paste above the some contents.

i have been noticed about BG job through the MMC that AbortedJobs has been appeared in RED and there is nothing defined.

    Hi,

Try to login to the system with DDIC user and then check if there is dump in the system. It looks like that some job is continuously failing in the system because of memory problems.

Also, what is the configuration of the server, how many R3trans processes you have given and number of background processes ?

    Thanks

    Sunny

    • Hi,

      How much is em/initial_size_MB assigned?

For a better performance, at least assigned up to 4GB for your next EHPI upgrade.

Note 1460004 - High memory consumption in upgrade phase RUN_RSAIMMERGE_UPG

Note 1302772 - Central Note - SAP Enhancement Package Installer 7.00

      -

      < D030559 MAY/06/05 >----

      Increase Parameter em/initial_size_MB

To avoid a runtime error in the RUN_RSAIMMERGE_UPG phase, increase parameter "em/initial_size_MB = 1024" to "em/initial_size_MB = 4096" in the instance profile of your target system.

For more information, see SAP Note 1460004.

      Cheers,

      Nicholas Chang

    Dear Friends

Thanks to all of you share your experience!

actually, it was memory issue, the manually adjustment of memory parameter has been resolved my problem.

    Regards
