Mapping of IDOC Segments to EDI POS and ID

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to identify which segement(Parent or Child ) from SAP ORDERS01 IDOC will map to ASC X12 Segment.

Like below are few ASC Position and ID

POS ID Segment Name Req Max Use Repeat

010 ST Transaction Set Header M 1

020 BEG Beginning Segment for Purchase Order

050 REF Reference Identification

060 PER Administrative Communications Contact

150 DTM Date/Time Reference

I'm looking to MAP E2EDKT1,E2EDKT2 to EDI Id's

The first link is a blog article by Emmanuel Hadzipetros. It kind of puts the scope of your question into perspective.

The second is a page containing a link to a spreadsheet cross-reference from ORDERS to an EDI 850. It could be a great help to you. In particular, it suggests ways to handle the text segments.
