Connect legacy system with BO

Hello All,

I am a Abbapper but new in PI.

I have a problem here to connect a legacy system (based on oracle database) to connect with a BI/BO.

I don't know how to do this (configuration, mapping, etc).

I was researching here and found that the legacy system uses XML and the BI/BO will use the BW as ETL.

And so, I think that this integration should be SOAP to RFC, right? (please, correct me if I am wrong)

Somebody could give me some step-by-step for what I should do?

SOAP is used for web service based systems. In your case, the sender might simply be a FILE adapter. For BW systems, the receiver side could be RFC or PROXY. I would prefer proxy if the integration is a fresh development.

Hello VJ,

No, the legacy system will use XML certainly.

But, what I need is a step by step configuration for XML -> PI -> ABAP PROXY (or RFC).
