Can you elaborate your issue, have you selected Use SAP JVM for the EHP5?

Usually SAP JVM is included in installation media.

Thanks

Hello,

Setting the environment variables in Unix/Linux depends on the 'shell' in which you are working.

Normally 'root' user works in either ksh or bash shell. You can try to check, via root user type the command - echo $SHELL

You will get the type of shell for the root user by above command. Then for shells ksh and bash - export command is used to set the environment variables. For csh shell 'setenv' command is used to set the variables.

Now try to refer the links you were trying to refer before and set the env variable for root user - for installation.

https://www.ccs.uky.edu/docs/cluster/env.html

Thanks

setenv or export command are the most used to set a environment variable

to make it permanent you have to set them in your shell profile for the user
