Deduct Absence Quota from advance leave

Dear Expert,

In my case, employee is entitled 12 days of leave but can use more if needed - i have configured this trough negative deduction.

The things is i want the next year generated quota to be 12 days minus the advance leave taken in previous years. i'm using time evaluation to generate absence quota with using standard rule (not using time type). Please advise

Thank you

    Hello;

    Actually you shall not do that.

    For example if employee enters the company at 01.02.2011 he will earn 12 days at 01.02.2012

    So you need to create an entry in IT2006 01.02.2011 - 31.01.2012 0 days

    If employee will use abscence then his abscence quota will be negative deducted (For example 5 days)

    When employee earns 12 days quota negative deduction will be considered and he will have 7 days remaining.

    If employee does not use the abscence type in first year you do not need the entry 01.02.2011 - 31.01.2012 0 days

    For example employee will earn 12 days in 01.02.2012-31.01.2013 12 days

    when he spends 15 days in 2012 (I mean -3 at the end of 2012) then in the entry 01.02.2013-31.01.2014 12 days you will see that he has earned 12 days but used 3 days so he will have 9 days remaining.

    Hope I can explain it smoothly

    Regards;

    Okan

    Negative deduction should balance new entitlement. So no special rules are requires.

    Just configure validity/deduction periods respectivley.

    Cheers!

    The negative deduction does not update the new entitlement by default.

    example:

    Absence Quota 91 Start 02.08.2010 End 01.08.2011 (same for deduction period) = 12 Days, Deduction 14 (2 days of negative deduction)

    on time eval 02.08.2011 new absence quota is generated with start 02.08.2011 end 01.08.2012 = 12 days (does not take deduction (2 days) into account. What do i miss here?

    Thanks

      You miss that it is totally normal to create quota with 12 days.

      But in the report pt_qta10 you will see that he had 24 days earned totally and 14 days used and therefore 10 days left

      So it is normal to have 12 days quota created.

    Dear Okan Caliskan

    Thank you for responding. You are right in PT_QTA10 the total would be 10 days left, but in IT2006 the quota is still showing

    12 quota with 0 deducting, meaning that the employee could still use the quota for 12 days (i tried this). The employee should only can take 10 days ( or 12 but that will be negative deduction). Please Advise. Many Thanks

      Hello Hendri,

      You miss that the entry in IT2006 for previous year it says 12 days earned and 15 days used.

      In the entry of the new earned record -3 days can not be shown as it is shown in the previous years result.

      I have checked, it is the same in my system.

      Begda Endda Quota Type Deduction begda-endda generated used

      01.01.2012 31.12.2012 01 Annual Leave 01.01.2012 31.12.9999 18,00000 0,00000

      01.01.2011 31.12.2011 01 Annual Leave 01.01.2011 31.12.9999 15,00000 19,00000

      As you see I have earned 15 days in first year.

      I have used 19 days in first year.

      I earned 18 days in second year but I do not see anything in used field as -4 from previous year is recorded under first year.

      Regards;

      Okan
