Hi guys,
We are having trouble with fields like payment term, payment block and baseline date. All user can change them as and when they want. Is there any possiblity of restricting of the change of these fields to users. I mean here, some users should be able to do the change and other can not.

Dear Samiti Chakri ,
You could create a profile by transaction PFCG to link to Your user, where You give them only the option to see the fields but not to change them. Please run SU24 and insert the transaction (fd02/fk02) to check the authorization objects linked to them.
Or:
you can go to SPRO > Financial Accounting(New) > Accounts Receivable and
Accounts payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for
creating Customer Master Data > Define sensitive fields for Dual Control
You can see all the fields that are available for Sensitive Fields here in order to build up a dual cotrol.
I hope this can help.

Dear Samiti,
in my opinion You should built up a validation that arises in case an user touch such a fields with a WARNING: please don't change the field content.
This because it can happen that an user has to change the term of payment or anothe field.
If I were You I will not use the profile in Your case.
I hope this helps.

HI,
We want it to be in posted documents not in master data level.

Yes you can control it by authorization objects the most common ones are F_BKPF_BED by customers, F_BKPF_BEK by Vendors, F_BKPF_BES by GL account, F_BKPF_BLA by Document types, F_BKPF_BUK by Company codes, F_BKPF_BUP by Period, F_BKPF_GSB by Business Areas, F_BKPF_KOA by Acct Types. All of these objects have a common control using Field Authorisation group and Activity code . You can play around with these fields. Usually by Activity which is the most common only some have 02 , usually if they have 02 then all fields are available to be edited depending on the config in the Doc Chg Rule, Line Item (OB32)
You can probably use the customizing node "Define Sensitive Fields for Dual Control (Vendors)" in IMG path Financial Accounting -> AR & AP -> Vendor Accounts -> Master Data -> Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data.
