How to Export the user Password in UME - Netweaver 7.2 for SSM use

Good day friends,

Have a question for you guys.

Iu2019m doing the user transportation from the development system, to our productive system, in a SSM project.

I have done the import of users correctly, in UME but.

When I try to enter to SSM with those users I had exported, it seems that the password hasnu2019t been transferred. I have to change it again manually from UME.

Is there a way to transfer the password of the users Iu2019m exporting?

Our model has about 90 users, and transfer the passwords manually could be painful.

Thanks in advice,

HI Frederick,

In general, applications will not allow you to export the password. In fact, most applications won't even know the passwords of the users, as it will only store a hashed (one way encryption) version of the password.

Allowing you to export passwords is in general considered a security risk.

IdM allows you to do password provisioning, by storing a two-way encrypted password (MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD), which is then written to all target applications. But you will not be able to load the passwords from the target applications.
