Standard cost estimate can be deleted through T code CKR1.

Before doing that check the following....

1> whether the existing cost estimate is future, current or previous

2> whether any open production orders exist for the material

3> does the existing cost estimate is correct or wrong.

take help of CO guy.

If that is the only message which you're getting, then get in touch with your FI-Co colleagues who will help delete the std. cost estimate after they assess the situation & do not see any specific issue. (Note: for changing of base UoM, a requirement is no std. cost estimate in present & future month)

Once that is done, you can make the change of base UoM, then inform your FI-Co colleagues to update the cost.

Additionally I would suggest use the search option in this forum, you will be able to find many threads on this topic which should help you.

Usually you can't change the BUOM. You must delete all related objects before doing so including all costing.
