Hello,
I am searching for some "best practice" information about the migration process of SAP Query objects (standard area, client specific) between systems after upgrading a custom development system to the next release.
I know the SAP online help for transporting the relevant objects. But there only the straight forward path is described. In my case I have to face problems with changed tables, consolidating queries from various clients and systems (prod and test) and so on.
In addition here are some detailed questions I have:
- Is there a way to check whether a query is still working and the underlying infoset needs no repair? You can get this info e.g. when opening the infoset. But is there a way to get this information in a more systematical approach (for a huge number of queries).
- Will we face problems when transporting queries from non-unicode to unicode systems?
Please share your experiences!
Thank you,
Volker.
Hi Volker,
Have a look at OSS Note 119655. Hope this note gives some inputs.
Thanks
Lakshman
