Baan Connectivity

Hello,

I understood that the BAAN integration kit was not supported anymore with the new BI Platform. Is there an alternative or workaround to access BAAN with CR2011 ? ODBC/JDBC ? others ?

According to these 2 kbase articles:

It does verify no more support as of CR 2008/BOE R3 and all it suggests is the market place has moved to open source support:

"The market is adopting an open standards approach to software integration to reduce the cost of implementation and maintenance."

Sorry, there is no more info other than that on what to use. We can leave this open for a while to see if anyone else has a work around.

If you can find an ODBC or JDBC driver that supports that source all I can suggest is you try it. Possibly post to Infor who owns Baan and they are an OEM Partner of ours to see if they have a workaround.

Also, I see you are a SAP Employee. You can also post to the internal TD Forums and ask for any suggested work arounds. Or contact OEM Sales team to find out who the Account Manager is for Infor and open a dialog with them.
