Functional area is not getting derived while posting

Hi,

Do we need to maintain the functional area in the asset master or will it be derived from the cost center maintained in the asset master??

we are trying to do asset posting but functional area is not derived from the cost center. Please help.

Have you activated the functional area, as account assignment object?

I have the same question. I have activated additional account assignment object 'Functional Area'. My question is how to derive the functional area from the cost center that is entered in the asset master record? Thanks in advance

Hi, if you enter CC in asset master data, then FA should to derive to Asset master data from CC. So you need to open field FA in asset master data, then FA would derive from asset master data, of cause if you made correspond customazation (FA for specific mov type)

hi, did you activeted FA for asset accounting?

Also make CC as optional for posting(g/l account, posting key) to allow derivation FA from CC
