triggering an executable program from BSP !!!!! Please help !!!!!!

Hi,

How do I trigger an executable program from a BSP page.

The following code is present in the event handler OnInputProcessing(submit):

insert ZPTP_REMIT from wa_zptp_remit1.

SUBMIT ZPTPF011_VENDOR_ADD_CHANGE WITH

p_formno EQ FormNo

AND RETURN.

The above code gets executed when I press the 'submit' button. Insert statement works fine but the SUBMIT doesn't work. The program ZPTPF011_VENDOR_ADD_CHANGE doesn't get triggered. The parameter passed is FormNo. Is this the correct way of triggering an executable program from BSP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Shiraz

Although not relevant at a technical level, this thread is interesting to understand the "mood" of the crew:

I suspect the missing piece of puzzle is described here:

    <a href="/people/mark.finnern/blog/2003/09/16/bsp-in-depth-message-statement-handling">BSP In-Depth: MESSAGE Statement Handling</a>

The problem is that your report is trying to write to a GUI that is not there. So you will have to submit your report to place its output somewhere else. Although I have not tested this, I would suggest you read the documentation around output of reports to memory.

A personal note: A topic starting with more than one ! or ? is like a red cloth to a bull. Adding that "please help" in the topic line ensures a define foam in the mouth. This is not the way we work here.
