File adapter error

Hi all,

I'm trying to test File adapter.

FILE->XI->FILE

File_sender service to File_receiver service.

Do I need to create sender agreement for this(File_sender)?

I could see the file archived to other directory as I have mentioned in File_send archive. But in XMB_MONI I don't see anything, also the file is not there in destination.

I get this error:

Transmitting the message to endpoint http://nemo:50000/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 404..

Pls help me on this.

Regards

felix.

    Hi felix,

depending on the XI version you are using the URL http://nemo:50000/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute is incorrect.

What has already been pointed out is the port which should be the ABAP port. (as defined in transaction SMICM --> Goto --> Services)

To verify the rest of your URL you can use transaction SXMB_ADMIN --> Integration Engine Condiguration. There you should see either the URL itself or an HTTP destination. If it is an HTTP destination you can look it up in SM59.

If you are using XI 3.0 your URL should look like http://nemo:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry and as far as i remember it should look the same also for XI 2.0.

    Best regards

    Christine

    HI Felix,

You will get an error 404 if the application doesn't exist.

In your case I think the url is wrong. The URL starts with:

http://nemo:50000 in which 50000 is the standard port for java.

The endpoint must be something like http://nemo:8000/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute

The message must be send to the abap stack, the ICM.

I would suggest checking the settings in the SLD, the exchangeprofile and the J2ee Admin, XI adapter parameters.

    Best regards,

    Alwin

    Hi, Felix

I have a same error with RFC adapter. You can look at message monitor http://nemo:50000/MessagingService/

You can find there short info about your messages. In the message details you can see that your message have defined value for 'From service' and probably not defined value for 'To service'.

When 'To service' is defined instead of 'http://nemo:50000/sap/xi/engine/entry?action=execute' should be a name of receiver communication channel.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution for this problem.

If you can find decision please write me you solution.

    Best regards,

    Alex
