It seems your system is not started.

Check

Santosh,

Thanks, I know you will get error. Please follow the steps I mentioned and your issue will be resolved.

Add these 2 parameters to your instance profile and repeat sappfpar check. Repeat the steps for START profile, if you have one.

ipc/shm_psize_10 =108000000

ipc/shm_psize_40 =112000000

Thanks,

KJ.

Hi Markus,

> When I saw ps -ef |grep sap* , no sap services display.

Try the following as user <sid>adm:

cdD
cd work
rm -rf *

then issue an

Rtrans -d

and post the resulting "trans.log" file.

Hi Santosh,

Please try the below, it should be quick and easy:

1.) Login as <sid>adm and then issue "cdpro". Stop SAP using "stopsap".

2.) Run "sappfpar check pf=<profile files>". Depending on your NW version, it should be either just DEFAULT and Instance profile files or the Start profile as well.

3.) Make sure that any or all the errors reported by the error is corrected by the IPC parameters.

4.) Run the sappfpar again to ensure there are ZERO errors.

5.) The issue "cleanipc <instance no.> remove". Issue this command for all instances in case of a multi-instance setup.

6.) Kill any orphan'd SAP process running under <sid>adm as owner.

7.) Issue "ipcs | grep <sid>adm". In case there are any seamphores owned by by <sid>adm, remove it using "ipcrm -s|-m <no.>"

8.) When all is clear, issue "R3trans -d".

9.) If the retuen code is 0000, start SAP.

If you face any issue in the steps above, paste the detailed error log.

Thanks,

KJ

You have an issue with your database - you get ORA-24909.

Are you running 10.2.0.1? This version is not supported for installations (and never was). If you run that version I highly suggest you go through the installation guide. You should install the latest patchset and then the latest PSU patches before you start the import of the data.

Hi,

Could you paste "full" dev_w0 trace into the message?

It is obvious that the instance is stopping after a while.

Hi,

Check whether the sapdp00 (tcp/3200) port is open on firewall.

Check the database status, R3 trans connectivity, find out the error in trans.log or dev_w0 as mentioned by Markus and then resolve the issue (Or you may paste the ERROR lines from the log file).

Oracle 10.2.0.1

Suggestion - Its not a Recommended/Supported version by SAP, Apply the patch set.

Plan your Oracle upgrade from 10G to 11gR2 as the support for the version 10G is out.
