Need to know how to customise the roles appearance in the portal.

Hi Guys,

We have a new requirement. In Ep portal. we require each and every user can modify the appearance of the role as their wish. For Eg: according to user1 he want to set the role user administration as first and according to user2 he wants to set the content adminstration as first role to appear in the screen. But the roles and authorizations are same for both the users.

How to achieve this without changing the priority for the roles which will affect other users who has the same role.

It was like setting their favourites as we set favourites in Abap stack.

Note: I din't meant to rearrange the worksets or iviews. I need each user should rearrange their roles as their wish.

Please tell me wether it is possible or not in EP Portal. Our version in Netweaver 7.0 sp22.

with Normal Framework i think its not possible, Check the AJAX framework given in Portal, users can Customize the role appearance in AJAX framework drag and drop from one place to another in TLN.

Am not aware of AJAX framework. And now presently we don't have AJAX. I need to explore on this.

Are you sure our requirement is possible on AJAX?? Are you sure we can achieve what we exactly wants??

Hi,

AJAX framework pages available in EHP1 with some customization limitations and in EHP2 with complete functionality. You have a new look and feel of the portal with AJAX framework. You can change the order of roles in TLN, just drag and drop, not authorizations required, feature called as end user "TLN personalization ".

Do some RND on AJAX framework in SDN. Check this start wiki
