Problem in massupload of zfield created in table vbap

Hello friends,

I have created a new zfield in table vbap that appears in the sales order item level.I want to mass upload data in this field through tcode mass.I had added this field through the cluster maintenace to reflect in mass upload, but when iam trying to upload data in this field and saving the mass upload the message i get is successfull but when i check the sales order the field is blank.

Your earliest reply would be appreciable.

Hi Atul

As you have created a Zfeild, check wheather the table is linked to any other tables or not.If the Zfeild has been added only in VBAP table then check wheather the table has been activated correctly or not.

Secondly also check wheather the feild has been added correctly or not through cluster maintainence.

Instead of mass upload , upload only one data and check wheather it is getting updated or not.

Hi srinath,

Thanks for the reply, i had checked the cluster maintenance and infact tryied the entire mass updation process for a single sales order, i got a successfull message after saving biut when i check the sales order the field is not updated.

Anyways i have decided to develop a BDC programe to go ahead .
