Moving thread to points free forum

Moderator/Admins,

I know, not all questions are difficult to answer but sometimes moderators (in ABAP General) moving posts to points free section when actually I spend hours answering them. I'm starting to doubt their judgmental skills. I hope there is a way the questions are moved to different forum before someone replies wasting their valuable time.

Anyway, this is very discouraging to the people who want to give answers.

Jeevan.

Jeevan - after reading the thread you replied to, it seemed to me that the OP had run into a problem and then rather than trying to solve it him or herself, simply posted the program and asked the forum to find and fix the problem.. If you want to help people like this, fine. But the rules of engagement say that an OP has to show that some work has been done before posting in the forum.

Vinod already gave you some information here:

You still helped the person, however no points can be gained in this forum (to keep "points hunting" in check). If the missing points are the reason for your complaint and you want to avoid this in the future please first think about whether a question is in line with our rules of engagement before investing time to answer it.

Please keep in mind that the (voluntary) moderators cannot be there around the clock, we have day jobs to do, so it is not unlikely that we find threads only after replies have already been posted.

How are you wasting your time? The member who posted the original question wants an answer - you provided it. You just don't get any points for it, but since you're motivated by the desire to help, rather than gain points, that's not a problem, is it?
