SAPClassNotFoundException on a WebDynPro Application

Hello,

I have Portal NW 04.

I am using this line in order to load a JDBC class:

Class.forName("com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");

When I use this line in a Java Application deployed to the portal as PAR file it is working OK, but when I put this line at the doInit() function of a WebDynPro application I receive SAPClassNotFoundException.

Can anyone help me here?

    Hi Roy,

    seems like your datadirect drivers aren't on the classpath of your web dynpro application.

    You can check that with Visual Admin -> services -> class loader viewer.

    The library you need is com.sap.datadirect.

    references are managed like described in note 749154, except the fact, that the command now is "change_ref" instead of "changeref".

    Regards, Karsten
