Need to set up a Standalone Scenario in SAP SRM (No ECC/R3 backend systems)

Hi experts,

I need to set up a Standalone Scenario in SAP SRM (No ECC/R3 backend systems). Can someone provide me the basic guidelines for setting up local company codes, Purchasing Organization, Purchasing Groups, Plants, Storage locations. I could manage to maintain the backend systems, accounting data & product category related config but facing issues with company code & other Org data. In the SRM Portal, when I try to create a shopping cart using 'Describe Requirement' option, I get an error message ' Enter Company code' & it does not allow me to proceed further.

Please help.

Thanks,

Mounika.K

Hi,

I'm assuming you have all the necessary definition of logical system, and assignment of logical system to client, and other settings required for the standalone scenario in place.

Then

1. Ensure that you have indicated an Organizational unit in PPOMA_BBP as a company code, (via the Function tab, and give the Source System as the logical system for the standalone SRM server example CC 1234 Source System EBPCLNT100).

2. Ensure that the attribute BUK is having the correct company code value (preceeded by the logical system, for example EBPCLNT100\1234) (It might also be so that there is no need to define the logical system - try both).

The system should now pick up the company code correctly when trying to create a shoppingcart for a user assigned below the Organizational unit defined as a company code.
