OLE DB connection when posted to BOE (UNIX)

Crystal 2008 RPT had performance problems when running against ORACLE Stored Procedure using the Native Connection or ODBC.

We found that it will run MUCH faster when we used the OLE DB connection to Oracle instead.

Now we want to post it to our Business Objects Enterprise 3.1 environment - but the BOE server runs on UNIX rather than Windows ...therefore the OLE DB connection to Oracle is NOT supported under UNIX.

Anyone know what the alternate "BEST PRACTICE" is when running via BOE server runs on UNIX ...?
