Downloading DD table with dates

Hi, I have a table I would like to download the contents from, but I can't get the dates to come out as YYYYMMDD. They show up as MM/DD/YYYY or M/D/YYYY.

What's the easiest way to get a table download with dates retaining the YYYYMMDD format?

Thanks for any help...

    Kenneth,

I assume that you are attempting to download this table through SE16 or something of the like... Well, sorry to say, but it is rather impossible to be able to use SE16 to download the date in the format that it is stored in the table. Since SE16 writes the information to the screen, the standard ouput conversion routine for that date field is called, converting the date to one of the many formats that you can set in your user settings.

The only way to download a date field in the YYYYMMDD format that it is stored in is to create a program that will do just that. Going through a SE16-type transaction will just not work...

    Thank you.

    Nick
