Cannot run Screen Painter from Add-On Manager

Former Member

Hi,

I have registered my add-on in the Add-On administration but when I go to the Add-On manager, there are no items in the list. I checked the force install checkbox and the Screen Painter appears to have installed. If I go to the SAP Manage folder, it appears to have been installed in the Add Ons folder.

Does anyone know why this is occurring?

Regards,

Robin

Hi,

Did you change the Company and select again that company? or Close B1 and open it again?

Are you in the Company you installed the Add-On?

When you install an Add-On it is active for that company and not to others. To use in other companies you have to give "permissions"

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. In answer to your questions...

If I close B1 and reopen it. It attemts to reinstall and then returns a timed out message.

I am in the company in which I installed the Add-On.

Hi,

In the Add-On Administrator it is in the right side, no?

Try to "Remove Add-On", change Company (or close and re-open B1), uninstall the Add-On, delete all files in the Installation Directory, and try install again.

(I think it happend me one or two times)

Hi,

After "Register Add-On", (and close, reopen...), did it runs the InstallShield program until finishs, or gives some message?

What is the structure of the installation directory (to compare with mine)?

(In Add-On Administrator, "Active" is checked, right?)

Hi,

In reply...

It ran it until finished and said the install was complete.

SAP Manage -> AddOns -> BK -> ScreenPainter is the install dir.

Active is checked.

Thanks very much for your time Ribeiro. I'm finished for the day but will try to get this working at home. I'll post any further info in the morning.

Regards,

Robin
