Service Call access/change authorisation


Hi Friends,

From Service Calls by Queue (Sub-menu) under menu Service Reports under SERVICE, different departments can view and open various service calls belonging to other departments.

The client wants to control access to this based on the login user id (falling under one of the department) to deny access to open and see all service calls belonging or under assingment to other departments.

Even if one can open them, they should not have right /access / authorisation to change and reassign to them or their department unless the athorised assignee works on the service call and further assings it to respective user falling under a department.

Eg- a goods return is received by the customer service and a service call is created and assigned to quality. The engineering or production or anybody else cannot either access or view it or even if they can, they should not be able to change and assign to themselves unless the Quality which it was assigned to worked on the service call and reassigned to others.

Is their any solution other than addons ?

Its urgent. Views requested.
