EWA Report as Word Attachment to email address

Currently I have html format of EWA report automatically sent to Basis Team email id .

How do I get EWA report file as MSWORD Attachment in email.

Yes. I can see that in Solman System , MSword file is generated ., But emailed only HTML version.

Hello,

Amit is correct, there is no possibility to automatically email the EWA reports in Word format.

The only possibility to to generate the Word report using the macro, and saving the file llocally, where you could manually email the saved Word file. However this is not very practical where there are many EWA reports that would need to be mailed in this format.

SAP Already confirms that , Thats not possible.

My Client Manager Asking , why EWA comes are In-place(email body) HTML .

Can we make it asd HTML Attachment as email delivery ?

Helllo Mahesh,

There are technical limitations to the functionality of emailing the reports.

I am not sure if this will change in the future, however this is not an uncommon request.

Hello Mahesh

The main technical difficulty is the fact that many a email servers reject HTML content as a attachment. Plus the fact that the EWA report uses IGS services if opened as a HTML page will fail all the time since the email is not connected to the IGS server of the Solution Manager.

Hence a mail body is created instead of a attachment.

I hope that you now understand the technicality of the issue.

Hello Mahesh

There is no mechanism in which the EWA report can be generated first in WORD and then emailed.

The Email mechanism will always use the HTML format to be emailed as generation of the word document requires manual activities and execution of MACRO's on word which cannot be performed by the background job responsible for the emails.

Sorry but there is no workaround to this one.
