Hi All,

I am working on SRM7.0 Business package installed on Portal NW7.01.

I wanted to understand Which permissions should i provide to "Business Objects" PCD Folder for Authenticated users.

Should it be Administrator "None" and End User "ON"

Or Should it be Administrator "Read" and End User "ON"

Regards,

Ashish Shah

Ashish,

1.Role: super_admin_role

Administrator: Owner

Enduser: checked

2. Group: Everyone(built in group)

Administrator:Read

Enduser:checked

3. Group:: Authenticated Users(built in group)

Administrator:Read

Enduser:checked.

However, it might be different based on needs.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hi Sandeep,

I was wondering what is the need of assigning permissions to "Everyone" Group and "Authenticated Users"

2. Group: Everyone(built in group)

Administrator:Read

Enduser:checked

3. Group:: Authenticated Users(built in group)

Administrator:Read

Enduser:checked.

If i am not using Anonymous users , should i only assign this permission?

Group:: Authenticated Users(built in group)

Administrator:Read

Enduser:checked.

Hi,

Everyone group is basically the sum of the groups Anonymous Users and Authenticated Users. So every User of the Enterprise Portal is in basically the group Everyone. Roles that should not be seen/used by every user may not be assigned to this group and you can take care of that by using Group-Role assignment and permission settings.

Sometime if you don't give Everyone group permission to the PCD objects the user will not be able to see those content even when assigned access.

Hope this helps.

Ashish,

As Priyanka has mentioned above, in SRM while accessing the business objects via the standard roles, you might get into a situation where you encounter "iview not found error".
