I have a question.

At the interface of create database instance there are a singleedit "port".

What function about it?How to use it?

    1. which 'interface' you are referring to?

    2. what you mean with 'singleedit "port"'

    3. which SAP DB / MaxDB version you are using

      oh,sorry!

      My english is so poor:)

      Now,i am using MaxDB 7.5 DBMGUI.

      I use it this Tools to create a database.

      I use Create Database Guide.

      At the step:"create database instance",there are a textbox named "port".

      How to use it?

      hehe,can you tell me how to submit picture?May be you need it.

    Today moring i browse through MaxDB Online help.

    There are explain about the "port".

    The explain is:

    To create a database instance on a remote computer, enter the following in addition:

    Database Server: Name of the remote computer

    Port: Port used to address the X Server; if you do not specify a port, the default port is used.

    Login Name: Operating system user for the remote computer

    Password: Password for the operating system user on the remote computer
