How about dropping/deleting the database first?

Just use DBStudio -> right click on the database SID -> Administration Tasks -> delete database...

deleting the db and removing the maxdb programs are different tasks....

    Hello,

sdbuninst utility is just for de-installation of maxdb 'software'. But before doing that you need to delete the database as well.

    http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/44/d8fc93daba5705e10000000a1553f6/content.htm

Try to follow the link and understand the concept before doing anything. First stop all databases and delete/drop them. Instead of using command line, dbstudio can also be used, as mentioned by Andreas.

    Thanks
