EnjoySAP + Screen Programming

Hello Friends,

I have few confusion and would be great if some one help me to solve them

1)What is basically EnjoySAP, is it an alternative technology to do Screen Programming ?

2)Is dialog programming and screen programming is same, or they have different approach, if different, what is the difference between dialog programming and screen programming.

Would be appriciated if some one point out any resource in this regard,

With Regards,

Haider Syed.

    Hi,

I think if you are talking about screen and dialog programming you are talking about the same thing. Doing dialog programming using EnjoySAP-Controls means nothing else than dialog programming using special screen elements like a html-viewer, a column tree... To create these elements and to work with these elements you need to be familiar with abap-objects.

    Hope this helps a bit,

    regards

    Siggi

      Hi,

you already got the answer from Anand. But here another tip. Goto SE38 and search for programs like alv or tree ... whatever is of interest for you. With this you'll also find lots of demo programs provided by SAP.

      Hope it helps!

      regards

      Siggi

    Hello Haider,

    1. Enjoy SAP very much concerns Screen Programming. The major feature here is that there is a use of the Control Framework. That would include all the custom controls like the ALV Grid, ALV Tree, SAP TextEdit , SAP Picture etc., to name a few. To see some examples, go to Environment>Examples>Controls Examples from the ABAP Editor (or any other workbench tool) screen.

    2. A Screen , Dynpro and a dialog are all suposed to mean the same. The reason for the term dialog programming to have emerged is that there were something called Dialogs which were used in the earlier versions of SAP (see the F1 help for CALL DIALOG statement). However, Dialog Modules are now obsolete. And Screens are what we use in the recent versions of SAP.

If you got some more doubts, get back with more specifics.

    Regards,

    Anand Mandalika.
