Partner function to account group

Before posting this query searched across the forum, but did not get a fulfilled answer. My query is In Partner determination procedure we do a assignment of partner function with account group, please let me know the clear requirement for this assignment.

The basis for this question is, already my partner procedure is assigned to partner function and in turn partner procedure is assigned to account grp, this way there is a connection already built between partner function and a/c grp.

If this is the case why we need to assign partner function to account group??

Hi,

In partner determination procedure there will be more than 20 partner functions,so to sort out the partner functions we need to assign the required partner functions to the account group and the parnere functions which are having mandatory tick mark those will be appeared in your customer master and sales transactions.

The partner functions which are assigned to account group are responsible for the transactions which related to that specific account group.

For example I am taking Partner functions Like SP,SH,BP,PY,PE,VN & Account Group is ABCD, Partner Determination procedure is JKLM

Suppose if you assigned 4 partner Functions to the Account Group like SP, SH, BP & PY to ABCD

and if you assigned the above all partner Functions like SP,SH,BP,PY,PE & VN TO JKLN

at the time of Customer Master system will show 4 partner Functions which you assigned to the Customer Account group and what are the partner Functions you assigned to partner Determination apart from that its not mandatory you need to assign if you want in the customer master

and also if you assigned 3 partner Functions to the Partner Determination Procedure like SP,Sh,PY

at the time of creating the Customer Master system will pick only SP,SH,PY
