Problem of Select database table

I have to know which record (VBELN = 10000016 ) is in the database table?

for example

if vbeln = 10000016

and this is the 14th record in database table LIKP.

so I could get 14.

    Hi,

    Take a look at RowNum option does works in ABAP programming See if it helps.

    Hi Minghan

    As mentioned in the thread Shehryar refered, as developers we do not deal with the row number of a record in database table since it is never our concern. You should have a more concrete and practical arguement to look for. For example its order with respect to a sorting option.
