Load a file into BW-BPS using a WEB Browser

Hello everybody

I have implement the How 'Load a file into BW-BPS using a WEB Browser'. Everything is fine. No errors.

but:

when I upload the file, it seems is not working ( I do not have error message) and when I save no data are in the cube. Has anybody implemented the How to? DO i need to change something based on the document.

Up to now it seems the system is not reading the data from the file and is not transferring them, but it is reading the data already existing in the cube.

Many Thanks in advance

I had load data to BPS layout from the flat file, but it is from SAP GUI not using the web broswer. why you need to use the web broswer instead of SAP GUI?

      Hello

Would you mind to send me the example of code. I am also trying with the SAPGUI but I probably I am loading anything due to the dummy combination as suggested in the HOW TO.

IF you would sent your code for the Init Function and Load function, Many thanks in advance.

I look forward for your reply

I use it and it works perfectly well. What do you mean by 'it is reading the data already existing in the cube' ?

      Hello Davy and JW.

As I was saying I am getting issue in laoding the data via SAPGUI and Browser.

I have already asked JW if he could send the code, the same for you DAVY, if you do not mind to sned me your example code for INIT, LOAD Function and the WEB for Upload and Save button.

With reading data from cube I mean I am not loading the file and so I am not saving any data. I probably have issue with the dummy combination and specially in the section:

      CLEAR ls_chas.

      LOOP AT ito_chasel INTO ls_chasel.

      READ TABLE ls_chasel-t_charng INTO ls_charng INDEX 1.

      IF sy-subrc = 0.

ASSIGN COMPONENT ls_chasel-chanm OF STRUCTURE ls_chas TO <f>.

      IF sy-subrc = 0.

      <f> = ls_charng-low.

      ENDIF.

      ENDIF.

      ENDLOOP.

      COLLECT ls_chas INTO lto_chas.

      eto_chas = lto_chas.

      ENDFUNCTION.

      That is my private mail:

    Hello Mike,

I'm the author of the How-to. There are two versions of the paper, one for SAPGUI and one for Web. Both are working very similarly but SAPGUI version is easier to implement and to debug. In general, you would pick the one that matches the user interface that you are using (planning folder or web interface).

Please be sure you implement the latest version of the paper, which you can find on the Service Marketplace. http://service.sap.com/bw > SAP BW-BPS > How-to Guides.

If you use the Web version and nothing happens when you click upload, I suggest to put a break-point in the BSP page at "IF l_content IS NOT INITIAL." and check if l_content contains the file data. If not, there's something wrong with the BSP page. Sometimes errors (special characters) are introduced by cut&paste from the PDF file. Try to paste the coding into Word first and remove any tabs and the "<<< ADJUST" comments. Then cut&paste it into the BSP page.

    Regards,

    Marc
