Characteristic Relationship

Hi guys,

I need to do Material Planning based on Main Channel (0CUST_GRP3), Customer Group (0CUST_GROUP), Customer (0CUSTOMER) and be able to plan in all 3 levels.

I don't have a hierarchy for these Characteristics.

Main Channel & Customer Group are attributes of Customer.

In order to generate the characteristics combination (derivation & combination proposal) in my BPS layout I'm thinking to use the "Characteristic Relationship" type "Exit" to get the Main Channel and Customer Group from my Customer Master Data. Is there any other way to accomplish the same result without using an "Exit Characteristic Relationship"?

Also in my Planning Area -> in the Tab Characteristic Relationship I cannot see all attributes that I can see in BW (Attributes are flagged). Do you have any idea on how to fix this problem?

Thank you very much.

Hello Heverton,

since channel and group are attributes of customer, an attribute characterstic relationship should be sufficient.

BPS shows only attributes in the drop-down that are also included as characteristics in the InfoCube. So you have to add the fields to the InfoCube first, before you can setup the relationship.
