System Monitoring - add SAP PI 711 system

All,

I'm facing problems when I want to add the ABAP stack of my SAP PI 7.11 system...

I use Monitoring Setup Guide (CEN SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EhP 1, SPS 08) to do my setup --> Entering Monitored ABAP Systems with Release SAP NetWeaver 7.1 in ST03G.

Using transaction RZ21--> technical infrastructure --> Configure central system --> create remote monitoring entry.

Next, I choose for DualStack for the component type to be monitored. I fill in all the necessary data and save the entry.

Nothing happens and I do not see the system appearing in the system overiew list.

For single-stack ABAP systems, no problems appear and I can add them.

Please advice.

Thanks.

    Hello,

If you are on SP26 and have issues adding Dual Stack Process Integration systems to system monitoring, or they are not available when you try to create an EWA, then there may be an error in the table DSWPSOLARSYNAMES.

    In SM31 display the table.

    Look for products #s

    01200314690800000134, 9

    01200314690800000134, 34

    01200615320800000659, 49

    01200615320800000719, 3

The Value of software component should not be "NON-SAP BASIS"

If it is then I would advise you open an OSS message with SAP and advise them you need these reverted to "S".

Then they will have further instructions for you once these changes are done, so they can be included in your affected solutions. I cam not sure this is the issue, but it is worht checkign as ti sounds like the issue.

    Regards,

    Paul

    • Dear Dimitri,

Once the table DSWPSOLARSYNAMES has been corrected, and you have removed the systems from the affected solutions, saved, and then added them back in, then the SID will be available when you you create the EWA, or for system monitoring.

If the system is under Netweaver Process Integration, you most defintely need to perform Steps 1 - 7 for that solution, meaning

removing the systems from the logical, and adding them back. What this does is picks up the new PPMS data in the table, and writes the information to the DMD ( the SMSY is mapped to teh DMD and the DMD is what is actually used). Missing this step will result in no change as the DMD will not be re-written.

So for the systems under the logical component for Netweaver Process Integration, they will need to be removed, saved with blank, then added back and saved. Thsi step is done in SMSY. so yes, tyou need to perfrom this step.

If it is still not clear on how to proceed, please raise a message with SAP Support.

      Regards,

      Paul
